I’m Chris and welcome to RockyTopMBA.com. Writing your own introduction is difficult, but here goes…
As the site’s name implies, I’m a Tennessee native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee MBA program. After undergrad, I worked for a south Florida start-up called LeadAmerica. That experience exposed me to the excitement of entrepreneurship and start-ups, in addition to giving me valuable experience in public policy, logistics, education, leadership development, and management. While I’d love to be on a start-up leadership team, I’m still looking for the right opportunity and/or partner. In the mean time, I have a great life and a cool job working in community development venture capital in Knoxville, TN.
RockyTopMBA is the evolutionary product of my online writing. I write about things that interest me, but I tend to concentrate around entrepreneurship, venture capital, and business development. This can be tricky, since so much of my day-to-day includes information that is either: a. proprietary, b. incorrect, or c. unsubstantiated. I also throw in the occasional “just for fun” or “personal update” post. I’m hoping this blog helps me organize my thoughts and be a part of the conversation.
